Last night's 2-2 draw with Sevilla saw the Brazilian make his first appearance since asking to leave the club to push through a move to Barcelona.

Coutinho received a warm welcome from fans at Anfield, who seem keen to move on from the saga.

The 25-year-old didn't have much time to make an impact when coming off the bench with 15 minutes left to play.

But Liverpool captain Henderson was pleased with his return.

"Massive, brilliant - I think you heard the crowd when he came on," said Henderson on the midfielder's return.

"He's been brilliant in training so hopefully he can have a big impact now he's back."

Liverpool were hoping to get back to winning ways after Saturday's humiliation at the hands of Manchester City.

But the Reds couldn't hold on to their lead as Sevilla left with a point.

But Henderson believes his side did enough to win the game.

"We’re disappointed with the result in the end,” he said.

"We think we’ve done enough to win the game.

"The performance level was good, we reacted well from the weekend and from going a goal down."

Liverpool fans may see Coutinho's first start of the season this weekend when they welcome Burnley to Merseyside.
