Jansson is a huge fan favourite at Elland Road and a rock at the back for Thomas Christiansen's high-flying side.

But the defender won't feature at Turf Moor tomorrow when Leeds take on Premier League side Burnley.

Jansson will instead have a training session as he bids to make a speedy recovery from a hamstring injury.

Christiansen said: "Liam Cooper is doing well. Matthew Pennington trained for the first time today, and there is nothing major with Pontus Jansson so it is positive."

Leeds play Ipswich at Elland Road on Saturday and Christiansen will be keen to have the Swede available.

When quizzed about the Burnley game, the Leeds boss said: "All games should be taken seriously. There are no small games.

"There are priorities but I want to pass to the next round.

"We expect to continue doing well. We're looking forward to playing Burnley.

"We have to improve from our last game."
