Sadio Mane believes Liverpool can still win the Premier League this season

The Reds have suffered a dip in form since thrashing Arsenal 4-0 at Anfield before the international break.

Liverpool were swept aside by Manchester City after Mane was sent off for a high challenge on goalkeeper Ederson.

Since then, the club have drawn against Sevilla and Burnley, before losing to Leicester in the Carabao Cup.

Jurgen Klopp's men already find themselves five points adrift after as many games.

But attacker Mane believes it is far too early to discuss the possibility of winning the title.

"Honestly, it is too early to talk about the title," the Senegalese international told ESPN.

"We are not focused on other teams, just on ourselves, and we know we can beat any team in the league.

"These kind of results [no win in four games since the Arsenal victory] can happen in any team, but we will do our best to change the situation."

"We will try to take it game by game, and why not win it at the end?"

Liverpool's form has slipped since Sadio Mane was sent off

Liverpool's defence has come under intense scrutiny of late but going forward, the Merseyside outfit have looked impressive.

And Mane believes the attacking threat Liverpool carry can win them games this term.

"Thank you for the compliment," said Mane, when asked if Liverpool's strikeforce was the best in the league.

"That is what we are looking for and what we are working for every day in training.

"We are going to keep going to do that to try to help us win games."

Liverpool will attempt to get their form back on track when they face Leicester City at the King Power Stadium this weekend.
