Charlie Nicholas says Arsenal celebrating a draw with Chelsea is a reality now

The Gunners held the Premier League champions to a 0-0 stalemate at Stamford Bridge last week.

It was Arsenal’s first point at Chelsea since 2011.

And Nicholas says celebrating a draw with the Blues is now a reality for the Gunners under Arsene Wenger.

“I’ve waited years to see that, I’ve waited years,” Nicholas said on Sky Sports.

“I’m very critical as you know about my team when it doesn’t go right.

“But I thought they were absolutely fantastic in terms of discipline, their work-rate was very encouraging, pressed and pushed at the right time.

“Yeah, we didn’t make too many chances, Ramsey was unlucky to hit the post.

“Now the big headache is, does he bring (Mesut) Ozil back?

“Yes, that (celebrating a 0-0 draw) is reality for me. It is reality for me, I accept that.

“Every time in the last few years we’ve spoken about the spirit and togetherness, it dissolves very quickly at Arsenal.

“But it was strong last week, it was a real togetherness.”
