Man Utd star Paul Pogba may need surgery to fix his injured hamstring

The Manchester United superstar has been out of action since limping out of the Reds Devils’ 3-0 Champions League win over Basel on September 12.

The midfielder has missed United’s victories over Everton, Burton and Southampton and is return date is unknown as of yet.

Orava, who recently helped injured Barcelona star Ousmane Dembele, is set to hold talks with Pogba over his rehibilation.

And the surgeon says United boss Jose Mourinho will soon find out how long his 24-year-old ace will be out.

Orava told HS: “His injury is a little different to Dembele because he can heal without surgery. A decision will be taken next week.

"This kind of problem is usually a sum of many coincidences and is affected by muscle fatigue as well as rapid stopping and quick turning, with the brain going quicker than the feet."

United legend Gary Neville knows Pogba’s absence is a blow to Mourinho’s men but insists they can cope without the influential midfielder.

Neville said: “He's a big miss. You talk about characters and personality on the pitch, Pogba always wants the ball and always believes in himself. Even if it's not going well for him he'll try the next pass.

Man Utd star Paul Pogba was injured against Basel on September 12

"He has taken some stick over the last 12 months in terms of his price tag and the expectation of what people believe he should be delivering.

"He'll probably admit himself that last season he fell below his standards but he started off this season brilliantly.

"He is a loss but Marouane Fellaini has come in, and United have got Ander Herrera, Michael Carrick.

"You're going to lose players during the season, you've got to overcome it. United will have to cope with that."
