That’s the opinion of pundit Alejandro Moreno who has been impressed with the Spaniard since he moved from Real Madrid in a £70m deal this summer.
Lukaku opted against moving to Chelsea and instead went to United, which led to Antonio Conte signing Morata.
The Belgian has made a fast start to his Old Trafford career netting eight times in as many games for his new club.
But Moreno still had no hesitation when opting for Morata over Lukaku.
“Morata,” he told ESPN FC when asked who he prefers.
“I said all along that I feel Morata has a lot more to his game than Lukaku does.
“That doesn’t mean that Lukaku’s not going to score goals for Manchester United, which I have maintained all along, he will score those goals.
“I just think Morata gives you more than Lukaku does.”
Morata has also impressed at Chelsea since his big money move, scoring six times in six Premier League matches.
Next up for Chelsea is a Champions League clash against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.
United play on the same night in Europe’s elite competition at CSKA Moscow.
