That’s according to Craig Burley who reckons his former club can triumph against the La Liga outfit.

The west Londoners are unbeaten in their last seven games in all competitions and hammered Stoke 4-0 on Saturday.

Burley expects Alvaro Morata - who bagged three against the Potters - to play an important role.

“Atletico Madrid have had great success playing the way they’ve played,” Burley said on ESPN FC.

“Antonio Conte’s had very good success there, playing the way he plays.

“They’re set up to hit on the counter as well and both teams have started the season well.

“But I think Chelsea after that 4-0 win at the weekend have given themselves a right good chance of going there and picking up the three points.

“I think they are good enough to go away, soak up and with Morata on top form as he was at the weekend and hit them on the counter attack.

“Yeah I am (backing them to win).”

Diego Costa is set to watch the game from the stands.

The maverick target man finally completed his return to Atletico from Chelsea earlier this week.
