The Red Devils boss revealed last week the France midfielder has a long-term hamstring injury.

United have hammered Crystal Palace, Everton, CSKA Moscow and Burton in the last month without Pogba, 24.

Marouane Fellaini has filled in for the £89m star, netting three times under Mourinho.

And United manager Mourinho says the Red Devils do not miss Pogba as it gives fringe players the chance to shine at Old Trafford.

When it was claimed United are not missing Pogba, Mourinho said: “We never miss the players that are injured.

"That's our way of seeing [it]. They are injured, we don't think about them.

"It's an opportunity for others, is a moment for others to step up and to get the chance, so I think that's good.

"When we moan all the time about injuries it looks like we don't trust the other people and we have to."

United are second in the Premier League table behind Manchester City after seven games.

The Red Devils have won six and drawn one of their opening clashes.

Next up for United is a trip to Liverpool after the international break.
