That's the verdict of former Premier League star turned talkSPORT pundit Joey Barton in the wake of the Reds' 1-1 draw with Newcastle United.

Liverpool travelled to St. James' Park on Sunday looking to get back to winning ways following their disappointing result against Spartak Moscow in the Champions League

But they were held once again, despite showing plenty of creativity going forwards.

Liverpool's lack of final product in the final third was mirrored by a defensive lapse which handed Newcastle their equaliser.

And Barton used the draw to make a comparison between Jurgen Klopp's side and former WBA and IBF light-welterweight champion Khan.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Barton said: "They are so chinny, to use a boxing analogy.

"They throw a great array of punches, they are lovely going forward, but they remind me of Amir Khan.

"They are vulnerable to just getting knocked out."

Liverpool face a two-week wait for their next fixture due to the international break.

They return to Premier League action against fierce rivals Manchester United in an early kick-off on Saturday October 14.
