The pair skipped out on sponsorship activities held at the club's Colney training ground the day after the League Cup clash with Doncaster.

The Gunners beat Doncaster 1-0 the night before, with Sanchez completing 90 minutes, however, according to the Evening Standard, the club indicated the duo were too sick to participate.

Both players featured against West Brom only four days later, with Sanchez starting that match.

Despite the presence of injured players such as Danny Welbeck, and fringe names such as Mathieu Debuchy reportedly there for the event, Arsenal's two biggest names were conspicuously absent.

Reports have surfaced from within the club that team-mates are unhappy about the reluctance of Sanchez and Ozil to fulfil an array of media duties, including speaking to the press after matches.

Both players are now in the final year of their contracts with no agreements close for continuing their stays at the Emirates.

Despite having had new deals on the table for the duo within the last few months, it seem increasingly likely both will move on.

Both players are earning around £140,000-a-week currently, with Sanchez offered £300,000 to extend his contract with the Gunners last summer.

A deal closer to £250,000-a-week was offered to Mesut Ozil, although his future remains unconfirmed.

Sanchez has been tipped to move to Paris St-Germain in January, with a mooted swap for German international Julian Draxler in the works, although Manchester City and Real Madrid remain possible destinations, and Sanchez is free to talk to foreign clubs from January 1.

Ozil attracted little interest last summer, although Jose Mourinho remains an admirer and a free transfer to Manchester United next summer remains a possibility.
