That’s according to former Paris St-Germain defender Alex who has advised his Brazilian compatriot to head to north London this winter.

Lucas has struggled with form and fitness so far this season, making just two appearances for PSG.

The 25-year-old forward is yet to start a game for the French giants this term and his first-team chances look bleak following the summer arrivals of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.

Lucas has now been told he should leave Paris when the transfer window reopens and Arsenal would be the perfect place for him.

Ex-Chelsea ace Alex said: “I would like to see him at Arsenal.

"They play cleaner football, more technical.

"He had contacts, I believe. That would be a good option for him this winter."

Lucas joined PSG from Brazilian side Sao Paulo in 2012 for around £35m.

He has scored 44 goals in 212 appearances for the Ligue 1 giants, winning 15 major honours.

Lucas, who has played only 37 minutes in the league this season, could look to leave in the winter to help push his claim for a place in Brazil’s World Cup squad.

The attacking ace has scored four goals in 36 international caps but has lost his place in the squad recently.
