Chelsea are hoping to tie down Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois with bumper new deals.

The Blues pair have impressed this season under Antonio Conte but their Chelsea futures remain up in the air.

Real Madrid are tracking the pair, with the La Liga giants keen to splash the cash next summer.

And Goal say Chelsea want to reward their star men with bumper new contracts which will see their wages increase.

Hazard could earn around £300,000-per-week plus bonuses, while Courtois could pocket £200,000-per-week.

Courtois is under contract until 2019 and Hazard’s deal runs out in 2020.

Pat Nevin is not worried if Antonio Conte leaves Stamford Bridge.

The Italian has been linked with a return to his homeland in recent months, but Blues hero Nevin says Chelsea can adapt with whoever is in charge.

Nevin told Starsport: “Although Conte is very popular and I’d love him, one hundred per cent, to stay for the next five years, you just sort of shrug your shoulders and accept that this is the business we are in.

“It might change, it might adapt and you might have to go with someone else.

“It would disappointing to some degree but Chelsea time and time again do that, change it and then keep on being successful.

“Personally I’d want him to stay because I enjoy learning from him and I like the guy, he’s entertaining.

“Now I wouldn’t worry about it until the end of this season and possibly even another season after that and in football that is an eternity.”

Claude Makelele says Alvaro Morata was always going to succeed at Stamford Bridge.

The Spain star has netted six goals in his first seven Premier League games following his summer move from Real Madrid.

And ex-Blues ace Makelele reckons Morata will shine alongside Hazard at Chelsea.

“He’s a good player, strong player, competitor and international,” Makelele told Sky Sports.

“This is the top level. He was at the best team in the world Real Madrid, he scored goals there.

“He’s gone to Juventus, he scored goals there. Of course he will score goals at Chelsea.

“It’s tough in the Premier League, very tough. I think he understands the Premier League.

“He understands also where he’s going to play, you want to give him more balls, Hazard has come back.

“I think he’s going to be happy at Chelsea, sure.”
