Thibaut Courtois is not interested in signing a new Chelsea deal and will look to engineer a move to Real Madrid.

That is according to Spanish publication Marca.

The goalkeeper has 20 months remaining on his current contract at Stamford Bridge.

And while he is no rush to leave the club, he will not entertain the idea of extending his time at the Premier League outfit.

Madrid have tracked the player for some time.

The Spanish outfit have also been long-time admirers of Manchester United's David de Gea, however the Spaniard remains settled at the club under Jose Mourinho.

Antonio Conte leaving the club may not be so bad for Chelsea.

That is the verdict of pundit and former Blues star Pat Nevin.

Conte has been frequently linked with leaving Stamford Bridge despite winning the Premier League in his debut season in England.

The boss has made no secret of his desire to return to Italy one day.

And Nevin believes although it would be a shame to see him go, Chelsea will always remain in good hands.

The Scot told Starsport: “You kind of let these comments wash over you now.

“When you’ve been following Chelsea as long as some of us have, you know they change manager very quickly but still have brilliant managers.

“Although Conte is very popular and I’d love him, one hundred per cent, to stay for the next five years, you just sort of shrug your shoulders and accept that this is the business we are in."

Chelsea will return with a £70m bid for Juventus' Alex Sandro.

Conte's men pursued the full-back in the summer but the Italian giants held firm.

Former Juventus boss Conte had identified the Brazilian as a key target to compete for a place with Marcos Alonso.

And according to Spanish outlet Mundo Deportivo, Chelsea are ready to go back in for Sandro and spend big in the process.

Should they pay £70m for his services, that would make the 26-year-old the most expensive defender in history.

And that fee may see Chelsea have better luck in their quest for his signature this time around as Juventus have not yet reached an agreement with Sandro over a new contract.
