The Manchester United forward has been struggling with an ankle problem since the 4-0 win over Crystal Palace.

He missed a training session earlier this week after linking up with Roberto Martinez’s Belgium squad.

Lukaku underwent a scan, which indicated there is no ligament damage or fractures in his ankle.

United boss Jose Mourinho has asked club doctors to keep in touch with Belgium’s medical team.

Mourinho will be hoping Lukaku is fit for the Premier League clash against Liverpool at Anfield next Saturday.

Chelsea forward Michy Batshuayi leads the line in place of Lukaku.

The Bosnia clash is a dead rubber for Belgium, who have already booked their place in next summer’s World Cup.
