That's according to Juve chief-executive Giuseppe Marotta.

Sandro, 26, emerged as one of Chelsea's top transfer targets this summer following a couple of stellar years at Juventus.

However, the Blues were unable to convince the Serie A giants to sell the Brazil international before the transfer window shut.

Recent reports have suggested Chelsea will go back in for Sandro in January, with a whopping £70m bid mooted.

Antonio Conte's pursuit of the left-back may come to nothing if Marotta gets his way though.

Marotta told Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport: "Paulo [Dybala] himself has asked for it [a new deal], we will be renewing soon and we will also extend the contract of Alex Sandro."

The newspaper indicate Sandro is in line for a significant pay bump at Juventus.

That would see his wages rise from £2.5m (€2.8m) a year to £4.5m (€5m) a year.

Sandro is also likely to be tied down beyond 2020, when his current agreement ends.

Chelsea were linked with Benjamin Mendy before he was snapped up by Manchester City.

They may renew their interest in Southampton's Ryan Bertrand if signing Sandro proves impossible.

Bertrand spent a decade on the books at Stamford Bridge before heading to St. Mary's in 2015.
