Manchester United travel to Liverpool for Saturday’s early kick-off with the joint-best defensive record in the Premier League.

Jose Mourinho’s back line have shipped just two goals in their opening seven games this season.

And Silvestre reckons United’s impressive defence will have no trouble handling the Reds at Anfield.

Mohamed Salah, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, who is ruled out through injury, have scored a combined 16 goals so far this season.

But Silvestre insists they are far from clinical enough to cause his former club too many problems this weekend.

Silvestre told 888sport: “They are good players but hardly world class yet.

“Over the course of the ninety minutes you would expect them to make some chances because they are talented but there is not one goal-machine from Salah, Firmino, Mane or Coutinho.

“They are missing that clinical player because at the end of the day it is this one you have to be worried about, the one you expect to finish 20-25 times a season.

“Liverpool doesn’t have one yet. United are going to be tested but I think they can control these guys.”
