That’s the view of ESPN pundit Alejandro Moreno.

United travel to Anfield tomorrow to face Liverpool in the early kick-off.

Jose Mourinho’s men are looking to maintain their unbeaten start to the season, which has seen United win six and draw one of their opening seven games.

And Moreno says Mourinho will sit back and hit Liverpool on the counter attack at Anfield tomorrow afternoon.

“I don’t see United being expansive,” he told ESPN FC.

“It wouldn’t make sense to be expansive against Liverpool.

“If I’m Jose Mourinho, I’m going to condense the space and not let Liverpool run in behind.

“I’d slow down the pace of the game. If I do that, I frustrate Liverpool and in doing so, you give yourself a better chance of winning away from home.

“It’s important for United to match the energy of Liverpool.

“Early on in that game there will be a lot of things going on, if you’re United, you have to survive the first 10 minutes and allow the game to become about execution.

“If it’s about execution, then United have the talent to take care of the result.”
