And Mourinho insists his side will play with attacking intent against Jurgen Klopp's side tomorrow.
Mourinho said: "I play with one defender and nine strikers, don’t worry about it, we play with one guy behind and then we go with a new system and we play with nine strikers, don’t worry about it."
United could only earn a point at Anfield last season, but the Red Devils boss anticipates things being very different tomorrow.
He said: "Last season we didn’t win three points, we got one but we got one comfortably, without any problems.
"Let’s see what happens this season, we want to win, last season we wanted to win, we couldn’t. This season we want to win."
United are currently seven points clear of their arch rivals going into the showdown.
And a win would send the Red Devils top before Manchester City take on Stoke at 3pm.
