Jamie Redknapp says Liverpool and Man Utd would be happy with a draw

That’s according to Sky Sports pundit and former Reds midfielder Jamie Redknapp.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are currently seven points behind United after seven games of the season.

The Red Devils are level on points with rivals Manchester City at the top of the table.

City, however, face Stoke later in the day.

Both teams have injury issues following the international break.

And Redknapp reckons give their depleted squads, a draw could suit Jose Mourinho and Klopp.

“If you offered Jose Mourinho a draw now, would he take it? Absolutely,” he said.

“Absolutely he would. You might actually get the same answer from Jurgen Klopp because he’s under pressure.

“He knows he needs to get a result.

"The difference is a couple of big players are missing, Sadio Mane affects the betting.

“The fact that he’s not playing has made Man United favourites, before that Liverpool were favourites.

“So that’s a big advantage that he’s not playing because he gives United a different dimension.

“Obviously United don’t have Paul Pogba, (Marouane) Fellaini has become a go-to guy for Mourinho.

“To try and pick a favourite for this one, I think it’s a split game. It’s very hard to separate them.”
