Tottenham travel to the Spanish capital for a daunting Champions League clash with Los Blancos on Wednesday (19:45).

The sides both have two wins from their opening two Group H games, and the eyes of the world will be on the Bernabeu meeting.

Pochettino explained that Real manager Zinedine Zidane has impressed him both on the pitch and now on the touchline.

"Madrid have been the best team in the world in the last few years," Pochettino told beIN SPORTS.

"They've proved that and, honestly, I have a certain weakness for Zinedine Zidane, as a footballer and now.

"Of course, we'll try to use our weapons to play a good game and to win, because we're going there to win."

Real won La Liga last season and became the first team to retain the European Cup in its present format when they defeated Juventus 4-1 in the final in Cardiff.

Spurs star Dele Alli meanwhile is going through a "difficult" period in his career, but Pochettino insists he is not concerned about him.

Alli, reportedly a transfer target for Real, he has been suspended recently by both UEFA and FIFA.

"It's true that it is a difficult period (for him) - he cannot play in the Champions League, was banned from the national team - he's in a period not too solid for him," Pochettino said.

"But it's normal. I am not concerned. He's 21. He's mature. He's improving a lot.

“He is a special player. His character makes him a special player.

“It's only time, again, (that he needs) to start to perform like before.

"Now it's a not too much solid period, but a normal period to come strong again. He is very concerned about everything now.

“Sometimes it's good to feel you are human. For him, sure, that situation helps him improve.”

Spurs take on Bournemouth at Wembley today (15:00), while Real Madrid travel to Getafe (15:15).
