Former Liverpool striker Luis Suarez could leave Barcelona

Diario Gol say Messi is keen to bring the Frenchman to the Nou Camp.

However, his arrival in Catalonia could signal the death knell for Suarez’s Barca career.

Diario Gol say that Ernesto Valverde isn’t a fan of the former Liverpool star.

It’s suggested he could be sent packing despite being close pals with Messi.

Barca could face stiff competition for Griezmann’s signature, though.

He was heavily linked with a switch to Manchester United during the transfer window.

However, the 26-year-old decided to stay at Atletico Madrid having quashed any transfer talk.

It’s been claimed Griezmann will pack his bags once Atletico Madrid’s transfer ban is over.

But according to team-mate and former Chelsea left-back Filipe Luis, Griezmann is happy at Atletico.

"[Griezmann] is a kid who speaks very clearly. Often players talk when they feel they are not being valued as they deserve," Luis told El Mundo.

"Then they get more attention. He would have had many offers from many teams.

"A player of his size wants to be up with the biggest in terms of contract and value. And that is fair as Griezmann is doing great here.

"In the end, for all the talk about other clubs, he always wanted to stay here and he is still here, happy and liking it.

"For sure, he can stay much longer. We hope the fans understand this and everything gets back to normal, although he has been scoring goals, and goals cure everything."

Barcelona locked horns with Atletico Madrid on Saturday.

The La Liga heavyweights played out a 1-1 draw and at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.
