Cristiano Ronaldo wants Manchester United ace Marcus Rashford at Real Madrid if they fail to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham.

The England forward has impressed for Jose Mourinho’s men this season and the Portuguese superstar has noticed.

Spanish outlet Don Balon claim Ronaldo has approved a move for Rashford if Florentino Perez is unable to secure the signing of top target Kane.

The La Liga champions know it will be difficult to get a deal over the line for the Spurs ace.

Don Balon also suggest the signing of Rashford could mean Karim Benzema would stay at the Bernabeu with the 19-year-old being slowly introduced into the fold by Zinedine Zidane.

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola will be ‘laughing himself to sleep’ after United’s performance against Liverpool on Saturday in the Premier League.

That’s the opinion of former Tottenham man Garth Crooks who believes Jose Mourinho used cowardly tactics at Anfield.

And he believes Sir Alex Ferguson would have never approached the game in the same way the Special One did.

Crooks told BBC Sport: “Sir Alex Ferguson would never have subjected United fans, or one of his teams, to such a cowardly display, especially at Liverpool.

“Manchester United going to Anfield looking for a draw? Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola must be laughing himself to sleep.”

Jamie Redknapp believes Liverpool and Jurgen Klopp should be criticised for the 0-0 draw against United, not just Mourinho.

He told the Daily Mail: “Did anyone seriously expect Jose Mourinho to go to Anfield and open up? Mourinho is one of the Premier League's greatest managers but rarely do you see him involved in thrilling, high-scoring encounters.

“I cannot recall his teams winning too many games 3-2. He hates those matches. This game was built up as if it was El Clasico but, if Jose was able to get his way, this was always going to be a boring draw.

“Mourinho is not bothered by the spectacle. Staying unbeaten was the only thing on his agenda. You have to ask questions of Jurgen Klopp and Liverpool, not Mourinho.

“It was up to Liverpool to unlock the door but they could not deliver. With 10 minutes to go, Manchester United looked there for the taking but Klopp took off Mo Salah and Philippe Coutinho — Liverpool's two most dangerous players on Saturday.

“I do not blame Mourinho for the dull display. By the end, Klopp was as guilty in settling for a draw.”
