Marcus Rashford scored Manchester United's winner at Benfica last night in the Champions League

The La Liga giants were linked with a move for United’s teenage sensation earlier this week.

It was claimed Cristiano Ronaldo is keen on Rashford should Madrid miss out on signing Harry Kane from Tottenham.

The 19-year-old England international has already earned strong recognition at Old Trafford.

And United will have no desire to see their young ace leave for the Bernabeu.

According to Spanish outlet Don Balon, the Red Devils will not make it easy for Madrid to land Rashford.

The versatile forward is an established member of Jose Mourinho’s first XI.

He is currently contracted at United until the summer of 2020.

And that deal has the option of an additional 12 months, which the Premier League side are expected to take up.

As a result, Don Balon add Madrid president Florentino Perez will have to make an offer which could persuade United to part with Rashford.

Bale has long been a target for the Manchester club and Mourinho.

And it is suggested the Wales international, 28, could be used as part of negotiations.

The former Tottenham forward has struggled with injuries and form in recent seasons, meaning Manchester United could finally poach Bale next summer.

However, Madrid’s apparent interest in Rashford may complicate matters.
