The Portuguese icon retained his Best FIFA Men's Player award at the London Palladium last night.

Ronaldo helped guide his Real Madrid side to the Champions League crown and La Liga title last season.

And his ever-impressive tally of goals in 2017 ensured he beat rivals Lionel Messi and Neymar to the accolade.

Speaking at the event, former Chelsea manager Gianluca Vialli praised the attacker for his ability to adapt his game despite being age 32.

"I think that the way he’s playing the game is exactly the way he was playing the game before but the starting position is slightly different. But in his head the thoughts are exactly the same," he told Goal.com.

"Now he’s probably starting from a more central position, before it was more wide, but his attitude towards the game, the opponents, his own team is exactly the same."

The Italian also backed Ronaldo to continue scoring for years to come, praising his dedication to the game and incredible fitness levels.

"It’s difficult to predict what your body is going to do but I believe Cristiano is a great professional," he continued.

"He looks after himself very well, he’s totally dedicated. He thinks about football 24/7.

"For 30 minutes he probably does something else. It’s all about how dedicated you are to the game.

"It’s a game you play on the field but more importantly It’s what happens off the field that makes the difference."

Ronaldo's Madrid side are currently five points behind rivals Barcelona in La Liga.
