That’s the opinion of pundit Charlie Nicholas who thinks players will have been ‘waling on eggshells’ this week in training.

United lost to Huddersfield 2-1 after Victor Lindelof made two crucial mistakes.

“Speaking ahead of the Red Devil's meeting with Swansea in the Carabao Cup tonight Nicholas said to Sky Sports: “This should be an interesting one.

I can see it being awkward for United and I think it will be a tight game.

“Jose Mourinho has obviously been angered by the way they played, and Ander Herrera's comments.

“His players will have been walking on eggshells and will be desperate to avoid any more mistakes.

“They will have that fear back in them and I think they'll put in a hard-working and gritty performance to get the result.”

And Nicholas thinks Manchester United will edge their opponents 2-1 with Anthony Martial scoring the opener.

Goalkeeper Sergio Romero and defenders Luke Shaw, Matteo Darmian and Daley Blind are all competing to start against Swansea with Mourinho set to make multiple changes.

That's because United face Tottenham in the Premier League on Saturday lunchtime.

The Red Devils are currently five points behind Manchester City in the top flight after nine matches.
