That’s the view of Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs.

City currently boast a five-point lead on the Red Devils after just nine games.

United lost to Huddersfield at the weekend, their first defeat of the season, to let their rivals extend their advantage at the top of the league.

City are unbeaten this campaign, having won eight and drawn one of their opening Premier League clashes.

However, Red Devils legend Giggs reckons City will slip up in the coming weeks and let United back into the title race.

“Manchester City are obviously still flying with their results and performances but I think they'll have their problems,” Giggs told Sky Sports.

Ryan Giggs says Man City will slip up in the Premier League title race

“They'll have their sticky patches and United just need to be hanging onto their coat tails and ready to pounce.

“The fear is that United are not in the place to pounce when Manchester City slip up.

“They have tough games coming up, with Tottenham, Chelsea and Arsenal before the Manchester derby in December.”

United host Tottenham on Saturday afternoon in the early kick-off before City travel to West Brom at 3pm.
