Everton manager Ronald Koeman has been backed by majority shareholder Farhad Moshiri after Sunday's 1-0 home defeat to Burnley.
Koeman spent around £150 million over the summer, but his side have picked up only seven points from seven league matches and are also struggling in the Europa League.
Moshiri told Sky Sports: "We're in a bad moment -- but we have played the four title contenders, three away.
"Today was the only unexpected loss. The four pre-qualifying UEFA [Europa League] games and two group games on Thursdays haven't helped.
"There is mental and physical fatigue, and seven injuries.
"These are early days and Koeman has my total support. We have great fans, and they deserve better.
"We know the honest and objective expectations of our supporters and will not let them down."
Speaking after the Burnley match, Koeman said he would "try to do the best for my job" but added that what he called "stuff and questions" about his future were "not in my hands."
