Liverpool keeper Loris Karius returns to training after hip problem

Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius has returned to full training after recovering from a hip problem, the club have announced.

Karius had not been able to take part in training during Liverpool's Germany trip because of the complaint, but rejoined the squad on Sunday.

Last month, the Germany international's agent said he had no desire to leave Liverpool despite struggling for form and would focus on impressing in preseason.

Meanwhile, the Liverpool Echo reported that defender Nathaniel Clyne could miss the Premier League opener at Watford.

Clyne has not featured in the preseason programme after problems with his hamstring and back, with back pain continuing to cause him problems.

It means Trent Alexander-Arnold could be in contention for a starting place at Vicarage Road on Aug. 12.
