Philippe Coutinho out vs. Huddersfield; Lovren injured in warm-up

LIVERPOOL -- Philippe Coutinho will miss Liverpool's match with Huddersfield Town on Saturday through injury.

Coutinho was a doubt for the encounter after suffering an adductor injury in training earlier this week.

Speaking at his news conference on Friday afternoon, Jurgen Klopp said it was "not clear" whether the playmaker would miss out on the meeting with David Wagner's newly promoted side.

However, it has since been confirmed that the Brazilian is not part of the matchday squad, while Georginio Wijnaldum returns to the Liverpool side after missing last weekend's defeat at Tottenham Hotspur with a knee issue.

Liverpool were forced to make a late change to their starting XI after Dejan Lovren picked up an injury in the warm up.

Ragnar Klavan was then hurried into the lineup to replace Lovren, with Ben Woodburn then taking a place on the bench.

Full Liverpool XI: Mignolet, Gomez, Matip, Klavan, Moreno, Henderson, Milner, Wijnaldum, Salah, Firmino, Sturridge.

Full Huddersfield XI: Hogg, Mooy, Lowe, van La Parra, Williams, Depoitre, Ince, Zanka, Schindler.
