'Grown up' Paul Pogba returned to Manchester United to finish a job

Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba believes he has returned from Juventus as a man and is ready to achieve the one goal that matters: winning the Premier League.

Pogba, 24, left Old Trafford for Turin on a free transfer in 2012 and spent four trophy filled years at Juventus before making his return for a world-record fee of £89m and with something to prove.

"I came here to win the Premier League and to challenge myself as well. Winning the Premier League is what matters," Pogba told the Manchester Evening News.

"My dream was to play for this club and when I finished [in 2012], I always felt like I had missed something at Manchester United because I wasn't a first XI player.

"Now I'm back and happy to be back. I grew up a lot in Italy and I have come back as a man."

Man United and Pogba got off to a dream start on Sunday, destroying West Ham United 4-0 in a match that saw the France international score and new teammate Romelu Lukaku net a brace to begin their Premier League campaign.

And Pogba also said that less attention is being paid to the huge fee United paid to bring him back -- a constant focus during last season -- which is helping him focus on his game.

"Last season the first question from everyone was always all about the price tag. Now everyone is asking about the football. That tells you everything," Pogba said.

"I am always confident. I always give my best and now it is my second season. I know more about the Premier League and I adapt more with the team. It is about the team.

"When the team performs well, the players perform well too. I am confident for the team this season."
