The Gunners will be without a number of senior midfield stars at Wembley, with Mesut Ozil and Jack Wilshere still injured and Mathieu Flamini suspended.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Tomas Rosicky face a race against time to be fit for the FA Cup semi-final, with both due to be assessed for minor niggles prior to kick-off.

Left-back Kieran Gibbs is doubtful while centre-half Laurent Koscielny remains out.

One ray of light for Wenger is a return to the starting line-up for Aaron Ramsey, after he came off the bench during the defeat at Everton.

But Wenger admits he has decisions to make about his team selection against the Latics.

"We have a lot of uncertainties," Wenger said. "It is very difficult to give you any percentage because we have Gibbs, Rosicky and Oxlade-Chamberlain all at the moment not available and we will make late decisions on these three players.

"Certainly I will decide to start Ramsey because Flamini as well is suspended.

"At the moment we have too many players out and it is important we get them back.

"We know that at that period of the season, the number of players we had out is too many.

"(Jack) Wilshere has not started to run. I think that is planned next week. At the moment all is going well."
