No doubt about my desire to stay at Arsenal insists Wenger… and we hope Sagna does too!

Wenger's current deal runs out at the end of the season, with some fans calling for him to step down.

But with Arsenal close to qualifying for the Champions League and one win away from ending their near-10 year trophy drought with FA Cup success, Wenger could turn things around at the Emirates.

And when asked if Sunday's meeting with West Brom (1:30pm) might be his final home game in charge of the Gunners, the Frenchman replied: "There is always a chance because none of us know how long we will live. But on my desire, no, there is no doubt."

Wenger hopes that full-back Sagna - a target for Manchester City - also extends his contract which is also expiring in the summer.

The France international may leave after seven years at Arsenal, but Wenger had a word of warning should the 31-year-old indeed move on.

"I would like the players to stay for more positive reasons, not for fear of failing somewhere else," Wenger said.

"You want the players to be part of this club. I believe that's something we are keen on here is to help players to love the club and stay for the good reasons, for the football we play, for the values we rate and for being part of the club that is special. You want the players to stay for that and the ambition we have."
