Arsene Wenger: Leicester clash always reminds me of THAT Dennis Bergkamp goal

ARSENE WENGER admits Arsenal's clash with Leicester City will always be special to him because of Dennis Bergkamp's magic.

Bergkamp scored a stunning hat-trick in the 3-3 draw away at Leicester in the 1997/98 season, with his third strike the standout goal, as he sumptuously controlled a David Platt cross before planting his shot into the top corner of the net.

Leicester are winless from their first two games, however they have had a tough start after facing Everton and Chelsea.

But Wenger is in no doubt that the Bergkamp strike, which was voted goal of the season back then, is still the best goal he's ever seen.

"I remember two things from that game, first of all the Bergkamp goal," Wenger said.

"When I took off Ian Wright, he didn't understand why I hauled him off.

"It was amazing the goal. He scored one of the greatest goals I have seen in my career."
