LOUIS VAN GAAL is closing in on his fifth summer signing at Manchester United. Chelsea are considering a late move for Tottenham target Loic Remy and Adrien Rabiot could be on his way to Arsenal.

The transfer window shuts at 11pm on Monday night as clubs are franctically trying to conclude their summer business. Here is a round-up of all the latest news, rumours and gossip... 

Louis van Gaal has told several of his Manchester United players they have no future at the club, and claimed he will have a "new group" by Monday.

While United work on deals for Juventus midfielder Vidal and Ajax defender Blind, they continue to clear the decks.

Wilfried Zaha has joined Crystal Palace on loan while Shinji Kagawa is close to sealing an £8m return to Borussia Dortmund, with his agent spotted in Germany.

But there is one player incoming at Old Trafford, although it is not the big-name signing United fans are clamouring for.

Timothy Fosu Mensah - the 16-year-old Ajax defender - has undergone a medical at Carrington and is set to cost an initial £300,000 compensation fee.

Arsene Wenger has refused to discuss whether or not Arsenal are close to signing Adrien Rabiot.

Reports in France claim the Gunners could land the PSG youngster for as little as £6.5m.

"I can't tell you about Rabiot," Wenger said. "If something happens, you will of course be informed."

Fernando Torres is closing in on a free transfer to AC Milan, after a loan move was rejected by Chelsea and the striker.

Milan have offered the £50m Spaniard a three-year-deal worth around £3.5m a year, and are expecting to conclude an agreement today.

Chelsea's No 1 target to replace Torres is Roma striker Mattia Destro and they have already tabled a £20m offer.

However, Roma president James Pallotta insists Destro "is absolutely not for sale and never has been".

But Blues boss Jose Mourinho is preparing an £8.5m back-up move for QPR hitman Loic Remy.

Leicester City have of former Real Madrid and Inter Milan star Esteban Cambiasso on a free transfer.

Cambiasso is regarded as one of the greatest holding midfielders of his generation, winning numerous trophies during his time in Italy and Spain.
