Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho revels in another establishment snub as he just keeps winning

JOSE MOURINHO has turned on the establishment again.

Chelsea v Liverpool - Premier League Preview

The Chelsea boss, this time, is angered over another Manager of the Month snub.

And to be fair to him, he has every right.

The Portuguese might not be every one's cup of tea - but he is what he is: a winner.

Pure. Simple. He wins.

Last Sunday's 1-0 win over Crystal Palace confirmed his third Premier League title, the eighth league championship of his career, and Chelsea's first title in five years.

They has already secured the Capital One Cup, after beating Tottenham at Wembley in March.

The Mourinho effect.

This year he's won more games than any other manager - 25 games from 35 with just two defeats. The next best are Manchester City and Arsenal with 21 each.

Yet, when it gets to the end of each month those on that panel vote someone else.

“I prefer not to comment, but I would like to know the people in the panel,” Mourinho said.

“Who are they because maybe someday I meet somebody and I want to hug him?"

With his hands clenched around his neck. He was joking. But the message was there.

Garry Monk, Ronald Koeman, Sam Allardyce, Alan Pardew, Manuel Pellegrini, Tony Pulis, Arsene Wenger and Nigel Pearson.

The eight bosses to pick up the award during the nine months of the season so far - with Koeman winning it twice - none of those, other than maybe Wenger, will end the season with a trophy.

“For many months no defeats, only victories but I can do nothing," Mourinho added. "I can just enjoy my title which is the most important thing.

“My objective for the season is to be champion and what comes, comes and what doesn’t come, doesn’t come.”

For Mourinho: another title, and another establishment snub.

And the sense is, that's just the way he likes it.
