Porto captain ready for battle with Chelsea's Diego Costa in Champions League clash

PORTO captain Maicon is prepared to do battle with Chelsea's hard-man Diego Costa.

The Blues face Porto in the Champions League tonight (7.45pm) hoping to make it two wins from two in Europe following their 4-0 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv a fortnight ago.

Costa is set to feature for the first time since the 2-0 win over Arsenal which saw him pick up a three-match ban after twice striking Laurent Koscielny in the face with his arms.

Maicon says he is prepared for his battle with Costa

All eyes will be on the Portuguese manager's return to his former side tonight and Brazilian defender Maicon insists he is ready for the difficult contest Costa possesses.

"Every player has his style," said the centre-half. "I will be physically and mentally prepared for Diego Costa. I have to do my best."
