The German maestro delivered a pinpoint cross for Kieran Gibbs to score and earn Arsenal a 1-1 draw with their north London rivals.

It meant the 27-year-old became the first player to assist a goal in six consecutive games in a Premier League season.

And Wenger lavished praise on his £42million star.

"Mesut was outstanding again," Wenger said.
