Arsene Wenger admits he likes Victor Wanyama

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger admits he likes Victor Wanyama.

The Southampton star is reportedly Arsenal's top January target after losing a number of midfielders to injury.

The Gunners have lost Francis Coquelin, Mikel Arteta and Santi Cazorla and still have worries about Jack Wilshere's fitness.

Chelsea striker Diego Costa has hinted he could return to Atletico Madrid.

The Spain international was reportedly unsettled in London earlier this year and has struggled on the pitch this season.

He has four goals in all competitions - just three in the league - after hitting 20 last term.

And he admits he still watches Atletico but asked about the possibility of following full-back Filipe Luis, his close friend who returned to the Spanish capital after one season at Chelsea, the 27-year-old said: "You never know - look where Filipe Luis is now. Life is full of surprises.

"I always wish Atletico the best and I always follow them, support them from afar."
