Arsene Wenger talks up Newcastle's attacking threat

The Magpies have slipped back into the relegation zone after taking just a single point from festive fixtures against Aston Villa, Everton and West Brom.

Steve McClaren’s men could lift to safety with a win over the Gunners, who will be looking to maintain their place at the top of the table.

But Wenger believes Newcastle’s attacking players could cause his side a serious problem when the two sides face each other tonight (3pm).

The Frenchman has highlighted strikers Papiss Cisse, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ayoze Perez as well as midfielders Moussa Sissoko and Georginio Wijnaldum.

"If you look at their squad, they have good players in all areas," Wenger said. "Up front they have Papiss Cisse, Aleksandar Mitrovic, Ayoze Perez.

"In the middle of the park they have players like Moussa Sissoko and Georginio Wijnaldum who can make a difference as well, so they are a dangerous team to play."
