The France international has been expected to leave Arsenal all month as he hopes to find first-team football elsewhere ahead of Euro 16 in the summer.

Aston Villa and Sunderland have both been linked with loan moves for the experienced right-back.

However, Wenger believes Debuchy is unlikely to secure a move away before tonight's transfer deadline.

“At the moment it doesn’t look like it, but it’s a possibility,” Wenger said of the 30-year-old.

When asked whether Debuchy could leave on a transfer rather than a loan deal, he added: “It’s impossible to do permanent deal now.”

And on the January window, the Frenchman said: "The whole period was much quieter than I anticipated."
