Arsenal News: Cazorla injury worry, ex-Man Utd ace slams Ozil pic, Roy Keane warning

EXPRESS SPORT brings you the latest news from Arsenal.

Moment Arsenal flop Wellington Silva turned into Messi

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has revealed Santi Cazorla suffered an Achilles tendon injury which forced him to come off in their 6-0 win over Ludogorets.

The Spaniard’s struggled with the problem during the summer and Wenger admitted he took the 31-year-old off as soon as possible.

“He got a kick on the back of his Achilles tendon and I took him off as quick as possible,” Wenger said.

“In my view he was limping a little bit so I didn’t want to take a gamble.”

Rio Ferdinand has once again hit out at Arsenal’s players for their post-match celebrations.

Mesut Ozil posed with his team-mates after scoring a hat-trick in last night’s win but the former Manchester United defender was unimpressed.

“I have said it before, I wouldn’t be doing that until I have got my hands on a trophy,” he said.

“If that is what the boys want to do…it’s a new age.”

Roy Keane believes it would be a ‘disaster’ if Arsenal fail to get Mesut Ozil to sign a new contract.

“Getting Ozil signed up is vital for the club and what will help them is winning trophies,” Keane said.

"I know they look a bit short when it comes to the Champions League and Premier League but Arsenal have to get these players signed up - it will be a disaster if they don't."
