ARSENAL boss Arsene Wenger admits he is unsure whether Alexis Sanchez will be fit to play against Manchester United.

Alexis Sánchez scores twice as Chile beat Uruguay

The Chilean attacker suffered a hamstring injury in training with his national team.

But regained fitness to play 84 minutes and score twice against Uruguay on Tuesday night.

Wenger had been vocal about his unhappiness with the Sanchez situation.

And with Sanchez scheduled to arrive in London later today, Wenger is awaiting a complete update.

"He [Sanchez] is in good shape," said Wenger.

"What I will consider is the risk of injury. He played with a hamstring problem.

"You depend a lot on the honesty of the players.

“We didn’t know whether or not he would play 24 hours before the Uruguay game.

"In the end they decided to play him. He text us saying he was in good shape after the game but we have to wait.

"I will see him tomorrow morning and if he can be involved in the squad or not."
