Man United star happy at Old Trafford: Agent dismisses transfer talk

LUKE SHAW is happy at Manchester United and will not leave Old Trafford, his agent has claimed.

The left-back has fallen out of favour under Jose Mourinho this season.

Having recovered from his double leg fracture last term, the 21-year-old has found regular game time difficult to come by.

Shaw has not played a first-team match since late November, and reports have suggested Mourinho will target a solution at left-back in the summer transfer window.

Celtic's £10million-rated Kieran Tierney is said to be on their radar, while Tottenham's Danny Rose has also been linked, and a swap with Spurs for the United defender has even been mooted.

However, Shaw's representative Jonathan Barnett has quashed rumours of unrest in Manchester.

"He is happy at the club," Barnett told Sky Sports

"Manchester United are very happy with him and he's very happy at Manchester United."

Shaw was signed for £27m in 2014, but his agent insists a sale is not being looked into.

The England international's fitness and commitment to play through pain have both been questioned during the season.

But after being left out of Manchester United's matchday squad once again on Sunday for the crunch Premier League clash with Liverpool, Mourinho revealed his decision was purely tactical.

"When you have Antonio Valencia playing as a right winger you cannot defend with two players," Mourinho said.

"You need that third player to give some cover inside and to keep some balances, and he [Matteo Darmian] did that well."

Darmian, Marcos Rojo and Daley Blind have all been deployed at left-back too this term, giving Luke Shaw plenty of competition for a place.
