The Sunday Mirror claim United scouts have been impressed by the striker and have proposed a summer move.

The 23-year-old has made 66 appearances for Malmo since progressing from their youth academy in 2013 and is valued at £7.5million.

However, the Red Devils will reportedly face stiff competition for his signature from Ajax, Celta Vigo and Real Betis.

Jose Mourinho has admitted he has already planned out his Europa League final team

Jose Mourinho has admitted he already has his Manchester United team for the Europa League final planned out.

"I will analyse the individual performances of the players and try to understand who can give me a little bit more for the final," Mourinho said.

"Of course I have in my mind already what I think is going to be the team.

"But the players can influence decisions with positive or negative performances."

Ryan Giggs has heaped praise on Alexis Sanchez and believes the star would be a good signing for Manchester United.

He said: "[He's] a brilliant player. His work rate, the effect he has on his team-mates, a winner."

And when asked if he could see the Chile international at Old Trafford, Gigs replied: "Yeah. Jose Mourinho bought [Zlatan] Ibrahimovic because he is a winner

"You can just feel that Sanchez would give his team-mates a lift."
