The 20-year-old is available for loan after failing to break into Liverpool's first team.

Jurgen Klopp has apparently already given the green light for the England Under-20 international to leave Anfield as he wants him to develop and secure regular game time.

Derby, Fulham and Middlesbrough have all supposedly expressed an interest in taking him on a temporary basis.

While Premier League new boys Newcastle are keen on securing a permanent deal for him, but are demanding they pay £10million for him.

However, The Daily Mirror say boss Steve Bruce is hoping to pip all of his rivals to his signature after entering the race to bring him to the club on a season-long loan.

Villa finished in a disappointing 13th in the Championship last season and are in need of attacking firepower to boost their chances of securing a return to the top flight.

Bruce has already made five signings this summer with John Terry, Christopher Samba, Glenn Whelan, Ahmed Elmohamady and Sam Johnstone all joining the club.

But with Ross McCormack on the verge of joining Sunderland, Ojo could prove to be a shrewd addition.

He is contracted to the club until the summer of 2020.
