Chirivella, whose contract at Liverpool runs until 2020, will spend next season plying his trade in the Eredivisie.

The 20-year-old already has experience of playing in the Dutch top flight after a short-term loan spell with Go Ahead Eagles at the end of the last campaign.

Chirivella has struggled to break into Jurgen Klopp's first team plans and was omitted from the squad that travelled for the Asia trophy last week.

But the Liverpool boss believes Chirivella will benefit from more first-team football.

Klopp is understood to be a big fan of the Spanish midfielder, who signed for the Reds from Valencia in 2013.

He was handed his Liverpool debut in the Europa League in September 2015 before going on to make a further four appearances after Brendan Rodgers was replaced by Klopp.

Sheyi Ojo is also reportedly close to sealing a loan move away from Anfield.

Aston Villa, Derby, Fulham and Middlesbrough are all said to be keen on the talented winger and Klopp is happy for him to leave on loan.
