ARSENAL must keep hold of Theo Walcott this summer or risk losing a danger man at the end of matches.

That is according to former Arsenal star Perry Groves, who believes the 28-year-old remains a vital part of Arsene Wenger’s side.

Walcott impressed with two goals during the Emirates Cup last weekend but remains far from guaranteed a starting role at Arsenal.

The England international is under contract at the club until 2019 and scored 19 goals for the Gunners last season.

And Gunners legend Groves admits Walcott may be tempted to force through a transfer if he cannot get the game time he wants.

"Theo needs to work out what he wants,” Groves told Bwin.

“The question is whether he’s going to get first team football.

“I would keep him because he's versatile, he can play wide or centrally.

“Unless he comes and says he wants to leave, we need to keep him as he offers something in the final 20-30 minutes that very few players can offer, pace and finishing."
