La Liga News: Messi thinks Barcelona will seal Coutinho deal, Real Madrid's Vazquez worry

Barcelona star Lionel Messi reportedly thinks the club will complete a deal for Liverpool playmaker Philippe Coutinho.

The Catalan giants want to land the Brazilian, who has emerged as their top target for the transfer window.

And Spanish outlet Diario Gol claim Messi is confident a deal is all but done.

It is said he has told people close to him he expects Coutinho to be plying his trade at the Nou Camp next season.

Liverpool have so far insisted the player is not for sale but Barcelona's pulling power could see a deal completed.

Real Madrid are worried about losing Arsenal target Lucas Vasquez this summer.

That's according to Spanish outlet Don Balon, who claim the Gunners are among the clubs keen on securing his signature.

Newcastle United and Liverpool are also supposedly interested in snapping him up - as well as Serie A giants Roma.

Zinedine Zidane wants to keep the player but is reportedly worried his departure could leave them short.

The Frenchman is said to think finding a replacement at this stage is impossible and wants Real to do everything to stop Vasquez from leaving.

Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has remained coy on talk of transfers for Diego Costa and Antoine Griezmann.

“Diego Costa? He is not our player, he is Chelsea’s. We talk about those who will start the season with us, those are the important ones to us," he said.

“I’d like to praise the strength of the club in keeping hold of our important players, and besides, those players want to stay at Atletico.

“Interest in Griezmann? It’s good for us that the best clubs want to sign our players.”
