Man Utd boss Jose Mourinho eyes three more signings: Perisic and Aurier likely

JOSE MOURINHO would like to make three more additions to his Manchester United squad before the end of the transfer window.

Luciano Spalletti: Conversation of Perisic to Man United is 'over'

Manchester United are second only to neighbours Manchester City for spending in the transfer window so far with Nemanja Matic, Romelu Lukaku and Victor Lindelof brought in for around £146m.

But with the new season less than two weeks away, Mourinho is still keen on strengthening his squad.

Inter Milan attacker Ivan Perisic and Paris Saint-Germain defender Serge Aurier have been strongly linked with moves to Old Trafford.

And the Independent say Mourinho wants to sign two full-backs and another attacker if the Glazers loosen the purse strings.

Mourinho claimed he was not a fan of the excessive transfer fees being paid for players

The report says a deal for Perisic is likely to happen while Aurier is a player who has been offered to clubs.

Aurier would provide strong competition to Antonio Valencia, who was voted United’s Players' Player of the Year for last season.

Last month, Mourinho claimed he was not a fan of the excessive transfer fees being paid for players.

Jose Mourinho still wants to spend in the transfer window

“I always thought the problem is not what you pay for these kind of (top) players, I don't think the problem is what you pay for Pogba, I don't think the problem is going to pay crazy for Neymar,” he said.

“I think the problem is with the other group which is a big group because players like Pogba, there is one or two (big) transfers (like that) per transfer window.

“The other ones are where you have 100 transfers and for me that is the dangerous area of the market.

“Some clubs are paying or they don't buy because they don't accept the numbers that are now ruling the market, or to do it they have to go the same levels and for me that's what worries me a little bit because now we speak about £30million, £40million, £50million in such an easy way.”
