Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho wants to make Perisic his fourth signing of the summer.

Moutinho is keen to bolster his firepower for the new season and Perisic has been earmarked as the man to help new star striker Romelu Lukaku find the net this term.

United have had two bids for the Croatia international rejected as Inter hold out on their asking price.

And Italian newspaper Tuttosport claim time is running out for the Old Trafford club.

According to the report, United have up to eight days to lodge a suitable offer for the player or Inter will take him off the market.

Inter manager Luciano Spalletti doesn't want to sell 28-year-old Perisic but is aware that the club could earn a huge cash injection from his sale.

Tuttosport claim a deadline of next Friday at the latest is what Inter have set the Premier League giants.

Inter would also accept a fee of around £42m with Anthony Martial on loan.

The San Siro club get their Serie A campaign underway on August 20 with a home clash against Fiorentina.

Spalletti will want to have a settled squad by then, which is why the deadline has been set.

Perisic is supposedly open to a move to Old Trafford - although the winger appears unwilling to upset his current bosses by handing in a transfer request.

Were he to join United it would take their summer spending up to £178m.
